Day 23 – The Role of Community: Belonging, Finding Your Tribe, and Being Seen

I often get mistaken for an extrovert, outspoken, bold, always in front. But the truth is, these are just ripple effects of the leadership roles I’ve grown into over time. Deep down, I’ve always preferred to be the observer, the one who sees but isn’t seen. I used to be known as "night walker" someone who found comfort in moving silently, unnoticed, in the shadows of the night.

Yet, despite my natural inclination toward solitude, I’ve come to understand something powerful: no one truly thrives in isolation. We may romanticize being the lone wolf, but the reality is, we are wired for connection. We all, in some way, crave a sense of belonging, a place where our vision, values, and voice can find resonance.

Over time, I’ve found people who fit, people who align with my purpose, who understand the unspoken parts of me. Some came through shared passions, others through faith, and some through sheer divine timing. These communities have helped me realize that even the quietest soul longs to be seen, not necessarily on a stage or in the spotlight, but in the hearts of those who get them.

The family is our first taste of community. From there, life gradually weaves us into new circles, career paths, hobbies, beliefs, struggles, victories. Each circle adds a layer of meaning.

Because at the core of our need for community is this simple truth: we want to be known. Not by everyone. Just by the right ones.
