Day 24: Dreams That Died and New Visions – What you’ve let go and what you’re chasing now By Phekwalayan Lemuel Samuel

Day 24: Dreams That Died and New Visions – What you’ve let go and what you’re chasing now:

As a kid, I always wanted to be a pilot. (E shock you abi? 🤣💔)

The thought of a giant metal bird soaring through the sky, carrying not just its own weight but that of humans too, fascinated me endlessly. But that dream nosedived early. Why? I hated math. Anything that required calculating figures gave me a headache. Ironically, I later discovered I was even good at it, I was just plain lazy.

Dreams are like blueprints, visions of what could be. With a little discipline, the right plan, and grace, they become reality. Sometimes, we catch glimpses of our future with eyes closed in sleep, other times while wide awake in hope. And with each vision comes a plan, some long-term, some just stepping stones to something else.

I’ve dreamt many dreams, careers, businesses, movements. Some were temporary, serving only a phase. Others have stuck, morphing over time. One of those enduring visions is the Jala Food Festival. It’s not just an idea; it’s a mission I’ve begun to shape with strategy, passion, and yes, a sprinkle of calculated madness. With God, a solid team, and relentless energy, I believe it’s not just possible, it’s inevitable.

And then there’s a dream I’m still struggling to release:  — my baby girl, my  lover,Lem’s Zobo  (Come on now, you really thought I was talking about a woman again? 😒🤣💔). That brand still lives in my heart. One day, by God’s grace, you’ll see it bottled, sealed, and served far and wide.

So here’s to over 20+ years of dreaming, and to many more ahead.

Stay hungry. Stay foolish. And never stop building.
