WOMEN EMPOWERMENT SCHEME: Ma’ajin Mambilla’s Footprints of Hope Reach Unreached Communities in Sardauna LGA
In a heartwarming show of compassion and commitment to grassroots development, Dr. Tukura Danladi Kwayi *(Ma’ajin Mambilla)* has once again demonstrated his unwavering dedication to human capacity building by empowering over 300 women and youth with cash across underserved communities in Sardauna Local Government Area, Taraba State, with 100 beneficiaries sampled at the venue of the program while reaching to other beneficiaries at their villages.
The empowerment scheme, tagged *"Ma'ajin Mambilla’s Footprints of Hope"*, is part of his ongoing outreach initiative designed to bring practical solutions to the challenges faced by the most vulnerable in remote communities. The event featured the distribution of cash grants to support women in starting or growing small-scale businesses, helping them become economically independent and productive contributors to their communities.
Addressing beneficiaries, Dr. Tukura emphasized the importance of empowering women and youth as a strategy for long-term community development. He noted that when women and young people are supported, families thrive and society progresses.
"This is not just about giving out money," he said. "It is about planting seeds of hope, self-reliance, and dignity. I believe in a future where no one is left behind, where every woman and young person can stand tall, contribute meaningfully, and live with purpose."
Community leaders and beneficiaries alike expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing Dr. Tukura as a rare leader with a heart for the people.
The initiative not only uplifts families economically but also strengthens the bond between leaders and the grassroots, serving as a model for people-centered development.
Dr. Tukura also pledged N500,000. To a blind woman whom her husband ran away leaving her with 5 children also reaffirming his commitment to continue supporting interventions that touch lives, promote unity, and inspire hope across Mambilla and beyond.
