The Hypocrisy of Power
Dear Hon. Peter George Your hypocrisy is now complete.
You once took to the public space with bold words and long essays, preaching zoning like a gospel. You told Tarabans it was about fairness, justice, and balance. You tried to convince everyone that power must go to your preferred direction (north )and you wrapped it in morality.
Today, everything you claimed to stand for has collapsed and so have YOU.
A governor has emerged from the very arrangement you resisted, yet suddenly you have found your voice missing. No outrage. No principles. No intellectual energy. Just SILENCE and a comfortable smile because you are now part of the system you once tried to discredit.
So this was never about justice. It was never about fairness. It was never about Taraba but IT WAS ALL ABOUT YOU.
You weaponized zoning when it suited your ambition, and abandoned it the moment you found relevance in the outcome. That is not leadership that is opportunism in its purest form.
Tarabans are not fools. We remember your words. We remember your arguments. And now, we are watching you pretend they never existed.
But history does not forget. The same public you tried to sway with emotional narratives will hold you accountable for this glaring contradiction. Because credibility, once lost, is not easily recovered.
You have shown clearly that your loyalty is not to principles, not to the people, but to proximity to power.
And when the time comes again when you pick up your pen to preach JUSTICE remember that Tarabans have already seen behind the curtain.
This time, we know exactly who is speaking.
